But there is another Aguas Buenas - that I need to share about!
Aguas Buenas is a little city that Elder Young served in as a missionary 30 years ago for two months.
Well, recently the President of the Mission and the Stake President asked us to "Open" the area again by finding a house where the missionaries could live. They have a branch in Aguas Buenas and a really nice chapel. So we went to work looking...
The cool thing is that during the process, Elder Young found a man who had been like his "older brother" when he served there as a missionary, and although less-active, Victor, was more than happy to see him again!
The reunion was incredible and Victor cried and cried. He realized that the Heavens do hear and answer prayers because he had been thinking about coming back and knew what was missing!!
He asked Elder Young to give him a blessing and the spirit was poured out upon him and his house.
Well, today we went to the little branch in Aguas Buenas - Good Waters.
By the way, the area does have beautiful waterfalls and it is absolutely gorgeous.
Well, to our surprise, they asked both of us to speak in church! We felt the power of the Lord work through us, to confirm to these people that there is a rolling-forth of the work in preparation for the Lord's second coming. The people are being prepared and must prepare for a temple. The work has been stagnant for many years. Do you know the best thing about this little branch? It is the DYNO new "Ward" missionary leader who is on FIRE about the work in Aguas Buenas. He is the one who helped us find an apartment for the missionaries and with the help of the members, the work will now roll forth in this little branch. The Zone Leaders will move here on Wednesday and they are going to shine because this little "barrio" is ready to work. I am so grateful for this opportunity to be involve in miracles and blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We have 75,000 missionaries across the world! We have 134 operating temples to seal families together forever. This work is not work... no it is fun and it is a blessing! How are you getting involved?
